Current work in progress (May 2018), on a model of George Stephenson's
Rocket. Following its success at the Rainhill Locomotive Trials, a
competition in October 1829, it became the basis
on which all future steam locomotives designs were based. The competition
was run by the nearly complete Liverpool and Manchester Railway, to select a
	designer for their steam locomotives.
George Stephenson and Son Robert became the pre-eminent railway designers of
their time. Designing railways, bridges and locomotives both for the UK and
	abroad.

	What you see is a
collection of separate items, brought together for the photograph, but in
	the main, not
fixed together. This is the first model I have had to paint
during the build, rather than when the build was completed.
