Notes: George's father William and mother Mary were born in Herefordshire. In the 1871 Census the family were living off Vicroria Road, Aston, Birmingham. In 1881 they were at 35 Witton Lane, Handsworth, at that time part of Staffordshire. In 1914 Alice, George's widow, married William Glass. George is buried in a family grave with father in law John William Burton (buried 1919), Rose A, Baynham his niece (buried 1928) and Alice Glass, his widow (buried 1930). There is possibly another person in the grave, a baby Burton.
