Notes: In the 1841 Census, Henry and wife Elenor, were living in the School House in Lapworth. A Catherine Sanders was living with them who was aged 20. Her relationship to Henry has not been determined. In the 1861 Census Henry and Eleanor were living on Lapworth Hill, Lapworth. Henry's wife Eleanor was born in Aston Cantlow, Warwickshire, where she was baptised on 31st May 1789, and died in Lapworth in 1875, being buried on 13th April, in Lapworth. On the church burial record of Henry, there is a note to the effect he had been the Parish Clerk for 40 years.
Who was Martha Cotterill mentioned in Henry's will below. She was born Martha Masters in 1830 and married William Cotterill in 1856. She was living with Henry and Eleanor in the 1841 Census and 1851 Census and listed as a neice. Also living with them in 1851 was Elizabeth Sanders aged 27, she was listed as a lodger. We have not yet found the link between the Sanders and Masters families.
