Picture showing Henry's DNA analysis
The above illustration shows the ethnicity of Henry as it emerged from a DNA sample mapped by Ancestry.co.uk. The results were somewhat surprising to Henry, since he believed his ancestry would be centred on England. However, the links to Western Europe and Scandinavia were expected (though not at such a high percentage), since his family on his paternal side come through the Schoon family. The actual national source of the Schoon family is via Richard Scoon, born 1703 near Lexgaard, Nordfriesland, Schleswig-Holstien, Germany.
