Born: c1437.

Place of Birth: Probably Lytham, Lancashire.

Died: Executed 16th February 1495, on Tower Hill, London. For his part in the Perkin Warbeck Conspiracy.

Parents: Thomas de Stanley 1st Lord Stanley and Joan Goushill, Baroness of Stanley.

Marriages: (1) 1465 Joan de Beaumont, Baroness Lovell. (2) 1471 Elizabeth Hopton, Countess of Worcester. Possible (3) Joyce Charlton.

Children: William c1444, Catherine c1447, Ann c1456, Jane c1463, Edward Tiptoft c1469, William c1472.

Occupation: Knight.

Notes: First wife Joan de Beaumont was the daughter of John de Beaumont, 1st Viscount Beaumont and widow of John, Lord Lovell. Second wife Elizabeth, was the daughter of Thomas Hopton and widow of John Tiptoft, Earl of Worcester.

The relationship to the Simmonds family is via the marriage of the Edward Stanley 3rd Earl of Derby, c1509 to Margaret Barlow c1515. The Barlow family is linked to the Mouette family, via the marriage of Jean Samuel Mouette 1770 to Mary Barlow 1762. Elizabeth Rose Simmonds 1885, married Harry Ernest Mouette 1886.
