Notes: William appears to have dropped the name Evershed (presumed to be his father surname). In the 1851 Census, William was living with his grandfather Thomas 1874 and his son Henry 1825. In the 1871 Census, he was a border with the Moore family in Compton. In the 1881 Census, he was a border with the Turrell family, together with his cousin Rose 1864, at 50 The Street, Compton. Rose's parents George 1825 and Martha were living at 53 The Street at his time.
Williams mother Mary had a second son (possibly a different father), James born 1836, baptised 1st January 1837 and died in 1837, being buried on 4th June in Wonersh. Mother Mary also died in 1837, being buried on 7th May in Wonersh.
