On the left is a poster issued by the Keighley branch of the Yorkshire Anti-Compulsory Vaccination
League. Its purpose to prevent people from having what to them, were free
vaccinations. As Keighley Secretary, Albert was probably responsible for its
publication.
On the right is the wording of the poster.
To be gulled means to be easily fooled.
The 1/6 in the poster means one shilling and six pence, which was
pre-decimal British currency. It is equivalent to 7.5 decimal pence.

We ask this question because, egged on by interested Public Vaccinators your
panic-stricken Guardians have been at the cost of "Billing" the Village,
urging the people to be vaccinated and re-vaccinated.
It is pretended that the operation is performed for FREE,- for nothing.
IT IS GULLERY!
The bills, posting of them, payment of the Public Vaccinator and
Vaccination Officer, all come out of your pocket (through the Poor Rate),
and what do they give you for it? Protection from Smallpox? NO.
There have been 3,000 cases in the well-vacinated Sheffield, and NONE in the
unvaccinated Keighley.
DON'T BE GULLED
Public Vaccinators want to increase their business, they know the
way to do so is to advertise, but advertising costs money, so to save their
pockets they GULL your foolish Guardians (unlike those Keighley Guardians
who went to York Castle to defend and secure their liberties,) into spending
your hard earned money to push THEIR business.
Everyone
who gets Vaccinated means 1/6 into a Public Vaccinators pocket, out of
yours, besides a fee on each case for the Vaccination Officer, again out of
yours.
Dont't be frightened against your will into being re-vaccinated, there is no
law to force you, some may try to persuade you otherwise.
REMEMBER they do it for money.
