Notes: Though on his birth certificate he is named Charlie, on his marriage certificate he uses Charles. On the marriage certificate they both gave 16 Stoughton Street, Guildford as their address.
Charlie seems to have had an association with the Army up until February 1941, when was discharged. For a period he was with the Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment and may have transfered to the Devonshires. He was awarded the 1914-18 War Medal, together with the Victory Medal.
Charles's wife Emily, was born in the Work House Camberwell, London. Her mother Elizabeth, born in Croydon, was an inmate at the time of the birth. Emily gave birth to a son Roy Verdun Kitchener Wadsworth in 1916. Roy moved to marry and live in Cornwall, where be died.
