Notes: Fenton arrived in the New York, 1st February 1899. He applied for Naturalisation in Essex, Massachusetts on 30th September, 1904. In 1912 Fenton was living in Holyoke, Massachusetts. In 1918 he was still in Holyoke and was registered for the WWI Draft. In 1920 he was again in Holyoke and was married. In 1930 he was resident in Skowhegan, Maine, this was also the case in 1935 and 1940.
Fenton's wife Octavia, was born 31st January 1882 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She died 27th April 1975 in Waterville, Kennebec, Maine. Her parents were Eustache Gaspard (Jasper) Carmel 1858-1944 and Melvena C. Frageol 1857-1939.
Fenton's sister Sarah Alice also went to the USA. She died in Los Angeles, California on 26th September 1950. It seems she did not marry.
