Born: 1886, 11th February.

Place of Birth: Burghwallis Hall, Doncaster, Yorkshire.

Died: 1960, at Guys Hospital London. His home address was Roedean Way, Brighton.

Parents: Ernest Lambert Swinburne Charlton and Edith Anne, nee Parkyns.

Marriages: 1. Amy Violet Montague on 29th June 1910 in Kensighton, London. 2. Constance Dagnall, 22 January 1939 in Chelsea. London.

Children: Micheal Charlton 1911, Barbara Charlton 1912, Frederick John Charlton 1914 and Robert Charlton 1919.

Occupation: George served in the Army during WWI and was a Captian in 1918. He subsequently became a Major, he was also awarded an OBE.

Notes: George's son Robert, was a PIlot Officer in the RAFVR and was killed in action in 1941. His son Frederick became a Major in WWII.

George's first wife Amy Violet, was born in Melton Park, Doncaster on 29th June 1885. She died in a nursing home, her home being in Collilngham Gardens, Kensington, London. His second wife Constance, was born in West Ham, London on 4th March 1898. Constance died on 18th February 1981 in Southend on Sea, Essex.
