Whilst trawling through the baptism records of Compton Parish Church, Surrey, an entry was found relating to one Charles Simmonds born 1854. His parents being Henry and Emma Simmonds of Compton. This is believed to be a Simmonds previously unknown. His birth year fits in between that of their son Henry 1851 and daughter Emma Jane 1856. No other information has yet been found (as of 2017), linking him with Henry and Emma. There is a possibility he married a Sarah Barber in 1879. It has since been confirmed (December 2017), that Charles is the son of Henry and Emma. See details here.
Henry died in the Guildford Union Workhouse aged 67 of Hemiplegia Exhaustion. This condition is often as the result of a stroke. His son John registered the death. Henry's wife Emma, was born in Godalming, baptised on 28th December 1825, she died 1900 and was buried in Farncombe on 11th April 1900.
