Place of Birth: Greenwich, Kent.

Died: 1907, 25 September in Wimbledon, Surrey.

Parents: John Leach and Caroline Jarratt, nee Lotta.

Marriages: Emma Ottley 1852 in Essex and Emily Randall 1861 in Kent.

Children: With Emma, John Ottley Jarratt born Woolwich 1853, Arthur Joseph 1856 and Albert Earnest 1858 both in Gillingham. With Emily, George Henry 1862, Archibald F. 1863, Charles F. 1866 all born in Chatham, Frank A. 1867, James A.1868, Christopher E. 1870, William Leach 1874 all born in Wimbledon.

Occupation: 1861 Census Corporal in Royal Engineers based at Brompton Barracks,1871 Census Provisions Merchant Wimbledon, 1881 Census Greengrocer, 1891 Census Publican at Chairmakers Arms West Wycombe, 1901 Census Fishmonger in Tottenham. 1911 Census sons John Ottley and John Henry listed as Fishmongers.

John's father John Leach Jarratt 1805 and grandfather Edward Jarratt were both Drapers and both became Freemen of the City of London on entry to the Guild of Drapers. In the 1851 Census Emily Randall was listed as Nursery Maid for a Royal Navy Commander in Merton, East Sussex.

John's granddaughter Florence moved to Michigan, USA with husband Earnest Winborn where their son Earnest was born.
