John's father John Leach Jarratt 1805 and grandfather Edward Jarratt were both Drapers and both became Freemen of the City of London on entry to the Guild of Drapers. In the 1851 Census Emily Randall was listed as Nursery Maid for a Royal Navy Commander in Merton, East Sussex.
John's granddaughter Florence moved to Michigan, USA with husband Earnest Winborn where their son Ernest was born.
