Notes: Nathaniel spent some years in Caen, France, having his children educated and working on astronomical projects. He counted several notable scientist of the day as friends, This included Sir William Herschel and Alexander Pope. He was a member of the Royal Society, London and the Paris Academy of Sciences.

Nathaniel's wife Anna, was born 1727 in Louvain-la-Neuve, Brabant Wallon, Belgium. She died in 1792.
