Occupation: Cordwainer.

Notes: In the 1891 Census, George William was living with his family at 8 Wornersh Street, Wonersh, which was a Bootmakers shop. In the 1901 Census, He was at the same address working as a Bootmaker. In the 1911 Census, he was living in the Common, Wonersh.

George William was very involved with the Parish Church of Wonersh, St John The Baptist. Here he served as a chorister, bell ringer, parish clerk, sexton, sacristan and church warden. In recognition of his service to the church, his friends had a clock installed in the church tower. A commemoration plaque is situated within the church. There is also a floor tablet dedicted to both he and wife Amy.
