Occupation: Wool Merchant. He was also a Justice of the Peace (J.P.).
Notes: In 1971 Census the Richard Moore family were living in Oakworth Yorkshire. In the 1881 Census the Moore family were in North Park Road, Harrogate, Yorkshire. In the 1891 Census the Moores were again residing in Oakworth. In 1892 when Fred's son John was born, they were living in Oakworth. In the 1911 Census Fred's family were still living in Oakworth.
In 1935 Fred Denby Moore, became Sir Fred Denby Moore and his wife Edith May, became Dame Edith Denby Moore. The knighthood being conferred for services to Yorkshire politics.
Fred's son, now 2nd Lieutenant Richard Moore and aged 18, was killed in action in Flanders, France on the 15th July, 1915. This was while serving with the Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment) 6th Battalion (Territorial).
