The photograph shows the finished GWR 14XX Tank
loco (5/4/2014). Like the LNWR/LMS Coal Tank, it took a while to complete, but I am very
pleased with the
result.
The LMS Duchess 6250 City of Litchfield (minus
crew) is finally completed (9/4/2014). This was an ambitious build, given my
level of competance when is was started. It has been virtually compete for
some time, but proplems were experienced with the electrical pickup on the
driving wheels. In order to overcome these, I converted the loco so that the
electrical pickup is via the tender wheels. Having sorted the pickup, I
found that the two forward pairs of driving wheels slightly fowled the
body (causing an electrical short). Having shaved the body this is now
cured.
