The photograph shows the finished LNWR/LMS 0-8-2 Coal Tank
(26/3/2014). It took a while to complete, but I am very happy with the
result.
This is the latest locomotive to be completed (April 2014). It is and
example of a small shunting locomotive manufactured by the Sentinel Wagon
Works of Shrewsbury. Originally built for the London and Northeast Railway
in 1925 and know as Y1 or Y3, depending on the variation built. The London
Midland and Scottish Railway purchased four locos in 1930, the last one
being withdrawn in 1956. They were also used in the Bass Brewery in
Stoke-upon-Trent.
